Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 Macro USM lens is coming
It is believed that another 50mm optic is coming this year, as the current generation is very old and a replacement is a must. We do not yet know the specifications of this lens. When the announcement date approaches, we will probably have more detailed information about the minimum netting distance.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 Macro USM lens would come packed with an improved design and better optical formula. The new optic will not have (IS) image stabilization technology. It will use the Micro USM motor. According to rumors, announcement of this lens would be fourth quarter of 2017.
