The 5/8"-27 female to 3/8"-16 male thread adapter is designed for mounting a device with a 3/8"-16 mounting thread such as a camera or handheld audio recorder on a standard mic stand; the shoe base with 1/4"-20 mount to 5/8"-27 male thread adapter can be used to mount any accessory with a 5/8"-27 female thread, such as certain types of microphones. It consists of a shoe mount with a 1/4"-20 threaded hole, and allows it to be attached to either the hot shoe of a camera or any 1/4"-20 screw for maximum versatility.
